The major source of revenue to the Board are the following:

• Cess Contribution in the form of a cess collected from contractors and building owners at the rate of 1 per cent of the cost of construction. In the case of residential building, it is levied only when the cost of construction is Rs 10 Lakhs or more.
• Contribution from construction workers registered with the Board at the rate of Rs 50 per month.
