Old age Home (Snehasadanam)

The Board is running an old age home namely “Snehasadanam” which provides shelter to the pensioner of the Board who are homeless and destitute. Presently it is situated at Poojappura in Thiruvananthapuram District. The application for admission is to be submitted through the District Offices concerned and must include a Certificate proving the destitution of the applicant issued by any Gazetted Officers or concerned Ward/Legislative members. On the recommendation of the District Executive Officers, after enquiry, the Secretary is empowered to take necessary steps to admit the applicant to the Snehasadanam. All expenses including Medical treatment are borne by the Board. The inmates will get half of the monthly pension amount on a monthly basis as a compassionate allowance.
